Let's build and level up our bases during the Fortification Frenzy Event to win more rewards!! Save speedups and forge more to rank higher. Save all the items you use to build/upgrade your base such as, black pearls, fire and ice shards, elemental ember, lumber and food to unlock more achievements.

The Fortification (Lumber) Event is a time to use wood to level up buildings.
But which buildings and which give the most points? The following give the most points towards the event from greatest to least:

- turrets (fire and ice) and totems [and perches ] (NEW) = 1 fragment/20 points
- combat turrets (cannon, archer, etc.) = 10 wood/ 1 point
- resource buildings (food and wood huts) = 10 food or wood/1 point
FAST WAY TO EARN POINTS
Level up your dragon's den. It will require a load of lumber, but it only takes seconds up upgrade and the points are generous. This building usually has a bubble above it marked "Train."

LEVELING UP REGULAR BUILDINGS (USING WOOD OR FOOD)
It may seem obvious, but make sure that your Storage Hut can hold the amount of resources that you need in order to level up a chosen building. To check this,
- look at the building and amount of wood or food needed to level it up
- click your Storage Hut and confirm you can hold enough wood to level the building up.
INCREASING RESOURCE PRODUCTION
You can also click the Storage Hut to see if you have available and activate production boosts. This will increase your resource production temporarily. Be sure to watch your base while boosting production otherwise people may loot your harvests.
FORGING AND BUYING SPEEDUPS
The Forge is where you can be creating speedups over long periods of time and in advance of Fortification events. Depending on how many Forge slots you have purchased, you can be forging many speedups of your choice simultaneously. Additional slots cost gems, but purchases are permanent, so buying forge slots can be a good deal in the long run.
Here inside the Forge, you can also purchase a speedup pack and even use gems to finish speedups you have in progress. The Forge is also useful in helping you visualize how many total speedups you own.
OTHER LUMBER SOURCES
Most obviously, ask your teammates for wood. Raid other bases for wood.
